Kitchens and bathrooms are usually the most difficult rooms in a house to keep clean. That are used daily and when you have a big family or a lot of friends coming and going they have to be cleaned up daily. It can be so annoying to do the same jobs over and over, but if you want a clean home it is necessary.

Just picking up the clutter alone can be time consuming when there is activity going on all of the time. New messes are constantly being made and then there are the routine chores to be done like running the dishwasher, if you have one, and scrubbing the sinks, toilets, tubs, and showers. This can be an even more strenuous task if you have hard water that can leave those nasty deposits behind.

Calcium and lime are the most common. Rust is no picnic to deal with either. Once these elements have built up around your faucets and around the drains in your sinks, they can be the devil to remove. Constant scrubbing can make ugly spots on your porcelain and leave scratches all over you fixtures. You just have no choice but to use a cleaner that will remove them.
There are several different brands of lime and calcium removers available. The best ones only have to be applied and left to sit for a few minutes. The deposits will then usually wipe away clean without scrubbing. The trick is not let these deposits build up in the first place.

People who use well water will experience this problem the most often, but it is not unheard of for those who have city water supplied to them. If you have hard water, you can install a filter that will remove the minerals before they go through your pipes. These deposits build up in the pipes themselves as well as around faucets and on fixtures.

Hard water can also be less appealing to use to bath in and to wash your hair and clothes. If you have a lot of minerals in your water, you will find that having a filter installed will much improve the quality of your water. Your laundry detergents and hair shampoos will seem to work much better. If you hate the build up that mineral deposits leave on your fixtures, then you would really be disgusted by what it does to your hair and clothes. After installing a water filter or softener, you might be able to do without some of those costly conditioners and fabric softeners.
