If you can't take the heat.....get out the crock pot!
Summertime !! For most people this is the time to haul the grill out of the garage or shed, but in Aiken we can cook out ALL YEAR LONG!! I love to use the crock pot this time of year, too. It's hot enough outside, who wants to heat up the kitchen even more.

And if your house is for sale, and you have a showing appointment that day, the house will smell great with something cooking in the crock pot!! Remember the way you used to come home from school and smell something lovely before you even got into the front door
I do. Mmmmm mmmm good!
My favorite crock pot dish is a pork chop recipe.

I don't know the exacts.... like most cooks, but it is easy enough that you can't go wrong!
First - I buy some THICK CENTER CUT PORK CHOPS. (I prefer boneless, but you can go with bones if you want)
Second - I put the pork chops into the crock pot. (my mom used to brown them first, but they taste EXACTLY the same without doing it - so I don't bother with that step, lol)
Third - Open a can of Chicken & Stars Soup (yummy!!) and just pour it over the pork chops. (sometimes I add a little bit of water - maybe 1/2 a can or so, depending on how many pork chops I use) I am cooking for 1 - 2, so if you are cooking for more - you should probably use another can of soup. I've used Chicken & Rice soup, too - -but the Stars are better
.
Fourth - Cook for about an hour or so on medium....then turn down to low and cook another 6-7 hours.
Last but not least - Serve with a nice tossed salad, and don't forget a veggie to round out your meal
Enjoy.
